Hello,
I have a DPMS LR 308B and i'vebeen considering having a Mikulek comp installed on it. I'll have to have the muzzle threaded and currently it is a sub-mow shooter. I'm a little apprehensive to do it because of the possibility of the accuracy going away. Has anyone done this befor and how did it turn out? Good results? War stories? Is that type comp any good? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. |
| I have one on my DPMS Franken gun, there is a difference in recoil as it comes straight back, expect to have your hair parted and the guy next to you to utter a few curses under his breath. As for accuracy I cant really say as I have been having other issues with this rifle, but it does change the recoil. |
| contact Ross Schuler, I have one of his brakes on my latest build, it works awesome, and less than $50 shipped and he will do it overnight, taper it to your barrel, different sizes, etc., you can see his video's on youtube shooting a .338 Edge pistol with the brake he makes |
| I am late posting on this one. I had one of these on my DPMS it is a great comp. Quicker follow up shots and much better recoil. Make sure it is clocked correctly. DPMS does not clock them right. they should not ported directly to the sides. They will still work but will work better if clocked correctly. I believe they will control muzzle rise better this way. Here is Jerry himself talking about it. HERE |
