Looking to build an AR47, but need a little help. If you have a quality AR47 build that’s a shooter than please give me the details.
1.First off is it worth building this or buying? 2.Recommendations on lowers that will accept AK 47 mags and where to order them? 3.Recommendations on AR Mags if unable to use Ak Mags and where to get them? 4.Firing pin recommendations? 5.Any recommendations on complete uppers? What I would like to do is build off a Spike lower and be able to use AK47 mags, the Ak mags are not a deal breaker, but a big plus. Thanks for the information on this. |

If you have the money to buy a complete rifle and the lower will be dedicated to 7.62x39 then I would buy. Personally, I am a hands on type of guy so I like to build my toys; I can use the setup that I like without having to change factory parts later on. 2. Rock River Arms make a lower that takes AK Mags. The only down side is you will not be able to switch upper with that lower so it will be permanently allocated as a 7.62x39 only. My system I only use it as 7.62x39, but I wanted to capability to switch it up with any other upper if I ever wanted to, so I used a standard lower. 3. In my opinion, ASC and AR-Stoner are the best. 4. There are may companies offering modified firing pins (model1sales, DPMS, AR15performance.com, etc) 5.model1sales make complete uppers. I don't think you can use AK47 with spike lowers. I have a spike lower setup as my 7.62x39 designated lower but they only take AR mags, not AK |

Spikes doesn't make AK mag compatible lowers.
Try AR-47.com MGI also makes AK compatible lowers |
