need some help for a good all around powder to use...i used to use varget for my 5.56 and 308 loads and had great success but now ive added 6.5 grendel to my reloading list and and ive also seen but not heard much on hodgdons superformance powder...i shoot all hornady bullets through my rifles (60gr vmax, 150&165gr sst, and 123gr a-max) and wonder if this will work for a new powder to use or stick with the more expensive varget or is there another that would be good for the 3 loads...any ideas? thanks

I use TAC for .308 and 5.56 and it works well, but I don't know if there is anything that will work well in all three. Has Superformance been re-released? I heard there were some issues with the first batch, but no specific info. You would probably find more/better response if you post this in the reloading forum under the Armory tab.

TAC is a popular Grendel powder.

IMR 8208 XBR is another.

Hodgon's BL(C)-2

Accurate 2520

Superformance is too slow for most Grendel loads, but Leverevolution has been used with success.

This place is your friend when it comes to loading for the Grendel:

Good to know. I've got TAC on hand and IMR 8208 XBR is on my short list of powders to try out so I'll be set when I get my Grendel built. Thanks for posting up this question OP.
