Okay so I having a little issue with finishing up my .308 lower. I used a DPMS LPK and when I went to install the kits "bolt catch screw" into the lower the head snapped in half, thought it may have been my mistake so I called DPMS and the sent me a new screw. Went to install that one and what do you know it snapped just like the other one.

So im a little frustrated right now not having a complete rifle due to a f$%king .25 cent part that took 8 days to get here. Do I call DPMS and try again or is there a roll pin I can use that would fix my problem or try another bolt catch screw from another company?

Any suggestions??

^ ^ ^ After reading the review on that part ... sounds like exactly what you need.

Ya it does seem like what I need, just sucks I have to pay for something that should have been right in the first place.

This kind of issue is why you see mixed reviews on DPMS.

Same thing happened to me.  I got it screwed in about 1/2 turn and havent messed with it.  It is "functional" as is but I plan on replacing it.

By the way, could somebody please measure one.  Need overal length, length of screw portion, shaft diameter, and screw pitch/diameter.
