I looked into the FAQ on the .308 ARs and it just didn't seem like I could make out a solid yes or no answer on my question so here it is.

Can you use a mil-spec collapsible stock buffer tube on a .308 AR lower? I'd like to use an LMT SOPMOD stock for a .308 AR.

With one of slash's car10 buffers, Yes

As the other two have said, you just need a Slash CAR buffer and spring.

I believe a standard DPMS 308 carbine buffer and spring works with a AR15 standard buffer tube.

yup, works just fine in my guns.

DPMS uses a ar15 RE with a short buffer. Most the other 7.62 platforms use a 1/2 longer RE.
