I just ordered a striped DPMS LR-308 Lower and Parts Kit.
I would like opinions on what upper to use for 600yd target shooting,
I'm thinking 24-26" Fluted Stainless with a free float fore end.
Where can I purchase such an upper?
Which stock for bench shooting, where?
Should I thread the barrel and put a brake on it?
Harris Bi-Pod? Or some other?

for bench shooting,
buy a DPMS complete upper reciver and BCG and your choice of FF forend.
get a 26in SST bull bbl from Kreiger chambered in .260rem. (if you send them your upper parts they will put it together for you)
Magpul PRS stock
Harris bipod will be great.
no need for a brake, it will bearly move as it is.

this will get you well beyond 600 yards.
