A buddy has a DPMS LR308 carbine he's looking to get rid of. Its the slick side upper with collapsable stock, FF handguard (round) and heavy barrel (16"-18" approx). Its covered in an atrocious rattle can paint job. He wants $800 for it. I dont know if the lack of a FA, brass deflector and dust cover make it any less desireable. What do you think? Also I know all the AR10 pattern guns use different mags. Are the DPMS ones either rare or expensive. I'm not really looking for a another 308 as I have a M1A and a bolt gun but if this is a good enough deal I may bite on it, especially if I could rebarrel it to .260 or 6.5CM. |
