Shot My first 6.8spc build Today. These R the Rifle Spec's first .......

First off i was shooting Hornady 110 gr Vmax. Had couple double feeds with the pri mag. then i switch to the 25rd mag then more double feeds. The Bad thing was 25rd mag Bowed Out. Switch To SSA 115gr OTM no problems with 15rd Mag and no Double Feeds. @ a 100 yrds Vmax Key holes target. No Problems With SSA. Any Help would be apperciated. |

Does your rifle have M4 feed ramps, all the research that I have seen indicates that M4 ramps are a good to have thing with the 6.8 round as the tip centerline is slightly lower than the 556 round in the magazine. I have several C-prod mags andf have had no issues from them in my Stag 5 even with polymer tipped rounds. I am not sure why you are keyholing other than your polymer tips are getting dinged on the way out of the mag and causing an instability in flight? Check out the 68forums, there is a huge ammount of knowledge over there.
