I have a Noveske N6 project Leonidas (12.5" .308).
The thing is AR-10 based, so it uses AR-10 magazines.I have purchased all of my 25 round magazines from Noveske and the followers are made of sheet-metal.
When I really get the gun going (like in the middle of a 3-gun match stage), it double feeds. I believe the follower is tilting and binding. The shock from the gun cycling un-fucks the follower tilt and the resulting spring unwinding causes two rounds to feed.
Anyone know of an anti-tilt follower I can buy or a remedy for this?

Thanks,
SDS

"purchased all of my 25 round magazines from Noveske"

Have you tried the factory yet? They may have something to fix it for you..........

Noveske said they are indeed Armalite magazines. Armalite said that depending on which mag it is, I might be able to change the follower to a glass filled plastic anti-tilt one.
Keeping my finger crossed until I can get home and take a look at the mags. Alot of $ invested in the 25 round mags to have to go and replace them with another variant.

Are these mags Gen I or Gen II?  What i do with my ArmaLite mags is disassemble, clean, check for any burrs, use a dry lube like Rem oil or Eezox.  ArmaLite recently lowered the magazine prices, if you have Gen I's upgrade to the Gen II's.  ArmaLite sold Gen I kits to convert M14 mags, some people used cheap Korean import mags to convert, these can sometimes be problematic.  Gen I conversion on usgi mags are gtg.  There are AR10 style mags floating around that are reported to be USA made, they are unmarked.  I have no experience with these, often seen on Gunbroker.

If you have genuine ArmaLite mags the floor plates well be marked "ArmaLite" or "Gen II".

I'm sure in 3 gun you are running your rifle harder than I am, I seldom do double taps but I have not had any issues in close to 1k rounds now.  N6 upper on ArmaLite lower.

Gen one should have the rear welded on lug, and the Gen 2 have a formed ridge running the length of the magazine in that area.

I had an issue with the "Armalite" mag that Noveske sent with my N6, the follower snapped in half the first round I fired through the gun. The quotes are because it was an Armalite STYLE mag but the lack of a roll mark on the bottom verifies that it was a rebuild done by Noveske (verified through Armalite and Noveske), I contacted Noveske and they sent me a new mag with a box to return the old one with no questions asked. My rifle was even purchased from a retailer and not Noveske. YMMV but I think if you contact Noveske with your concerns you will find their CS is hard to beat.
