Hi all New here and I have a couple specific questions
I'm in love with the 5.7 round and after searching, I've decided that instead if $1200 for the fn ps90, I can get an AR and then get the 57 upper. there is a decent deal in town for a Bushmaster carbon 15 * Barrel Length : 16 * Caliber : .223 Rem. * Magazine Capacity : 30 * Vendor Group : Bsh * Inventorytyp : Reg Product Description Description: Carbon 15 Special Carbon-15 upper and lower, sixteen inch lightweight barrel, telescoping stock, Bushnell red dot sight and 30 round magazine. Weighs five pounds. price is under 700. I just do not know if that AR lower will work with the 57 upper, and I'm looking for guidance. TIA |
), why buy a complete 5.56 rifle?

Well, quick google search found the upper for $600, could get a complete lower for less than $200. If you want a 5.56 upper later on you could certainly get one. My advice is to avoid any variation of carbon/polymer etc "alternative" receivers, at least while you're starting out. Not a good general purpose choice IMO.
Or just get a 5.56 now, then get that neat little Kel-Tec .22WMR carbine when it comes out. |
