| I have a ar10 "paperweight" that needs drilling. I thought I had a shop that could do it but they claimed it was too different from their ar15 setups. I can get the jig and milling adapter for about 250 but I rather not spend that much for just one lower. I was hoping maybe someone had the jig already and could drill it for me or know someone that could. |

Not sure if this how it would really be, but this was the first thing that popped in my mind when I read your question:
When you complete the milling/drilling/machining on your own lower, you are the manufacturer in the eyes of the ATF. If someone else did that for you, they are manufacturing a weapon for you. I'd think they would be in deep shit if they're not licensed to do so. Just my initial thoughts on it, but it might not be so. |

Reading your post, you're probably correct. From my understanding you're allowed to do so yourself. In that case, it would be great if I could find someone that has the jig already that would let me borrow
/rent it? I have the drill press necessary, I just don't have the jig itself. I could go buy it for 200-300 but to do one lower its not worth it. Maybe someone would be willing to go in together on one? |

Tactical machine jigs are only 150 but there back ordered right now, but once you get the upper master plates you can use them for the ar 15 plates as well and make your self which ever platform you want.
Its DPMS style as well. Im just going through the learning curve on the ar 10 style's myself. |
