Almost done with my build thanks to all the help on here. What action block is everyone using to install their barrels and will a standard armorers wrench be able to install the vtac hand guard. Thanks in advance.

You need an AR15 wrench to install the JP handguard. AR10 and LR308 wrenches will not fit it. I used a Smith wrench, it was the only one I had that had enough clearance to get around the barrel. My PRI and GI wrenches wouldn't fit around the barrel, the teeth on the LR308 and AR10 wrenches I have don't fit the JP barrel nut at all. I used a Brownells upper receiver bench block and the top from my Block Worx set. |
