Stumbled across something on the Fulton Armory site.  Their steel .308 magazines are $35 (haven't checked availability though) and are said to be compatible with DPMS, JP, Knight, and Remington.  This implies they'd work in the Bushmaster ORC as well.  Does anyone have any experience here?  I know, the PMags are great, but I look at my ORC as an updated version of my FALs.  Nothing like the heft of a steel mag full of 7.62 (as long as you don't have to carry a bunch of them very far).

They are likely re-badged mags from some other maker (DPMS?).  I've seen C-products mags for just over $13 each lately.

Thanks for the info, did a quick search for C-Products and their mags are available everywhere.  Any advice on compatibility with the ORC and quality?

They are compatible with the ORC.  I have a few of them and they run great.  I use them for my 260 Rem and my 308's

Pmags are flawless, and C-P mags are too if you prefer steel.

The ONLY time my LR-308 has problems is when I try to use C-Products mags. Switch back to PMAGS, & it runs perfect.

Most of the feedback on the C-Products are they can be hit or miss out of the box but they will make it right. I have not tried mine yet.  I've got 10 DPMS, 10 C-Products and 10 PMAGS...and everything but the PMAGS are sitting in their wrappers collecting dust. If you are dead set on metal give the C-Products a shot. They are hard to beat for the price and service.

Good luck!

Appreciate all of the feedback.  I know the reputation of PMags, I just prefer the aesthetics of the steel.  When I get around to adding to my SHTF supply for this rifle it will be PMags.  In the mean time, has anyone bothered to diagnose the problems with CMags?  Follower, lips, spring?
