I got the Armalite barrel in the upper but the outside Vtac handguard nut won't go on very far it's not cross threaded or gauled just tightens up way to soon? I tried wire brushing off the anodizing as suggested didn't help it still won't screw but about half way. I gotta think that the upper treads are messed up because the barrel nut screws all yhe way into the outer nut from either direction so it's got to be the upper!
I will call Mega and Raiieer tomorrow and see what they say? |

I am guessing you probably already figured out the issue, but I will give this one a shot for others that read the thread. The issue, more than likely, is that you have a VTAC rail designed for an armalite upper. The armalite upper has a different thread pitch than a MATEN or DPMS upper. |
