Entered the 6.8 world today with a new POF P-415 6.8mm.  I have a question for anyone with the same rifle...

I brought the rifle home today and tore it down to clean and lube and I noticed that my bolt is black and not chromed.  Now this wouldnt be an issue at all however, all the POF literature and the POF website states that all their bolts are chromed.  So I am wondering about anyone else who has one.  Are they chrome or standard finish?  Just want to make sure I got the right stuff.

Attaching a pic to show what I am talking about.

Thanks for any info

Looks like it should be nickel

Bolt & Carrier:
Nickel Teflon plated 8620 integral keyed steel bolt carrier
(billet machined), heat treated/plated per Mil-Spec
Roller cam pin NP3â„¢ coated
Phosphate heat treated to Mil-Spec

NP3â„¢ Plating:
NP3â„¢ is a combination of a nickel alloy plating combined with
Polytetrafluoethylene aka Teflon. The plating components with
electroless or autocatalytic nickel is one of the most rapidly
developing metal finishing processes. The advantages of coating
uniformity, corrosion resistance and hardness are providing designers
with opportunities to protect and improve base materials in ways that
were not previously possible.

I'll double check, but think the 6.8 bolts were not chromed.

Update:

Received an email from POF's tech department this morning and they confirmed that I do have the correct bolt.  So to anyone who has a POF in 6.8....the bolt is supposed to be black.

A big thumbs up to POF's customer support.  I had an email back in a matter of a few hours.

Thank you to all who responded.
