I'm thinking about putting a 6.8SPC upper on my lower I just built. I'm researching into the caliber and everything and a question popped into my head. I put a standard A2 stock on my lower, with a full rifle recoil buffer. With the heavier grain bullets of 6.8spc will I need to buy a heavier recoil buffer and spring?
Thanks for the help Apothus |

6.8 SPC is meant to use standard carbine buffer, but I don't think you'll have problems with your rifle stock and buffer setup... Where did you get this? Is this substantiated? From shooting different configs over the past couple years, from talking with the people who designed loads, guns/uppers and such...so yeah, I'd say it's substantiated via everything out there. They work with standard buffers and springs, 16-18" barrels prefer mid length gas, and it's damn near pointless to go to any barrel length longer than 18". Any other questions? Most of this is common knowledge if you're on the 6.8 forums, by the way... |

I am on 6.8 forums as well.
