Hello my AR Yoda-types,

1. What do you think about it (assuming you have one)?

2. Does it fit on a 5.56 lower?

3. I've heard the kick is compared to a 20 guage shotgun...true?

4. What is the effective range of this round?

5. Any pics?

1. What do you think about it (assuming you have one)?

I love it. It is like a "semi-automatic .454 Casull that does not hit as hard" in a cool-looking rifle

2. Does it fit on a 5.56 lower?

Yes it does. No mods are required.

3. I've heard the kick is compared to a 20 guage shotgun...true?

I guess you could say so. Depends on the round I guess.

4. What is the effective range of this round?

They say it is up to 250 yards for any North American game animal.

5. Any pics?

Here is my 450 Bushmaster with 2.5x scout scope and a 6.5 Grendel upper with Nikon Buckmaster Mil Dot.

bad ass!

What's the deal with 6.5 grendel or was yours creedmoor?

I've heard that those are very long distance, flat trajectory rounds....true?

After researching the 450 Bushmaster, 50 beowulf, and 458 Socom - I decided on the 450B because at this time factory ammo is available and not as expensive as the others..  50 beowulf ammo is pretty much non-existent, and 458 factory ammo is VERY expensive ($50/20 rds) from what I found online

I ordered my upper on Saturday from Cabelas and it should be here Wed or thursday..

Good choice IMO, I'll think you'll be happy with it.  Welcome to the BM family!
