I have a 450 Bushmaster with a Nikon 3.5 x 10. The scope was mounted and boresighted by my local gunsmith.
I finally received some ammo and went to the range to sight it in. The first 3 shots left a nice group, just not on the target (12 inches hgh and 14 inches to the right.) I tried to adjust the scope but there was not enough adjustment to correct the side to side movement. I ran the adjustment screw all the way out and back down to make sure it was properly seated but 6 inches to the right is as close as I could get it. I removed the scope checked the mount remounted it with the same results. The good news is the gun groups well. Is there something else I should check or is this just a bad scope? Thanks |
| The scope is probably the culprit, I only mentioned checking the iron sight vrs bore sight simply as a tool to verify the scope or it's mount being off. I have seen the internals fail so that no adjustment is possible and one or both of the cross hairs move fully to one side. |

Here's my 450. The scope is clear and the mounts are straight and tight. I think the problem may be the Scope, it just won't adjust any more to the left. .When the rain stops here I'll try another scope and see what happens. |
