My Brother has the opportunity to buy a 6.8 Barrel, but it has a problem. When fired the ejected brass has a ring in front of the rim. Is this a major issue, can it be corrected?

From the way it was described to me, it is the brass bulging out. Unknown brand.

No, I am getting all info second hand. Apparently the owner reloads and due to this problem can only re-size the brass one or two times.

$60 plus shipping will get the barrel set back .060 and rechambered with the DMR if there isn't a major chamber issue that prevents it. A quick inspection with the bore scope will tell the problem.
