43mm Titleist

About $30 at cheaperthandirt.com.  Supposed to launch a golf ball 100-200 meters.  Wonder if I can stick that in my golf bag...

Too bad you have to pull your flash hider to use it.

Not to mention you need to use blanks. Who likes shooting blanks?

What I want to know is what happens if you use a live round with the golf ball in there?  Shrapnel?  Blows the whole attachment to hell?

I wonder which barrel length gets the best distance?

I'm guessing the shorter the better.

I think a 5.45 shorty would blow those golf balls across the county.

I have shot a few golf balls in my day, and I think it would work fine.  The round cuts through clean and just puts a little gray mark.  Takes 5 or 10 rounds to get it to break up.  I think the issue is launching the golf ball requires a high angle of fire, and shooting 5.56 bullets at high angle is usually a bad idea.

What's a flash hider?

It's this little thing they put at the end of barrels that people think will make it hard for the enemy to see them when they shoot their gun at night.

It uses blanks, the golf ball is the only projectile.

I was responding to:

Should have quoted it.

I think you could shoot through the golf ball, but it would be bad, mainly due to the round off into the sky.

I agree.

You just know some knuckle head has done it.
