So, earlier this week my lowers showed up. I am the happy new owner of three consecutive serial numbered LR308 lowers at a total price of 365 each. Given my local dealer was selling them for 330 + tax, I paid a 10 dollar premium to get them right now as opposed to whenever DPMS starts filling backorders. I'm okay with paying extra for instant gratification.

My task this weekend is to cash out some old savings bonds I found in the safe deposit box so I can afford LPKs and some mags. Those will take a while to get here, so I have plenty of time to think about what to do with the third lower.

The current plan is to build an 18" AP4 type and a 24" SASS out of two of them. I have no immediate plans for the third, so I'm kicking around ideas. Maybe another 24" in .260 Remington? I don't have a real clear vision of what to do with it.

So I ask the hive mind: what to build on a .308 lower?

You have the long range covered and the CQB covered so why not a light hunting rig for close to med range in 308 or if you want 260.

Thats my take.

I wqish I had the "tough decisions" some of you all have

A 12 inch SBR would complete the collection. or a light weight 14.5 with pinned flash hider

I have an 18" bull barrel upper on order for my lower. Unfortunately I am looking at a 6-9 month wait time.

My plans are to also build another with a 24" 260 Remington upper.
