So best for what?  Seems hotter than SSA Pro Hunter, so OK for hunting or best for home defense?

Sighted in at 50 with SSA, tried V Max and it was 6-7" high at 50.

Opinions welcome.  Educate me on loads and their best uses.

great write-up about this at 68Forums.com.

Basically sez that the VMax is a fragmenting bullet best suited to varmints/LE/Home Defense, although also decent for small to medium thin skinned game......as long as you get a clean shot to the head/vitals, or you'll ruin a lot of meat with the fragments.  The Sierra is a deeper penetrating hunting round that generally retains most of it's weight.
