I just put my old AP4 back together now that I got a new lower to mate to the original upper. I have probably mixed up the old 308 buffer and spring in the big pile o parts and cant seem to find one that works. I cant pull the bolt far enough to lock open or pick up a new round. I am guessing it's the buffer/spring combo. Is the 308 buffer shorter than the standard carbine buffer? Is the spring shorter? All the buffers I am finding are the same ballpark length. With my luck I put that buffer in a carbine I sold off...
