[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 7.62x39 Bolt Mod

OK - I'm torn between getting the MGI bolt or modifying a Model1 bolt.
Just how exactly do you modify the bolt and sorry if this has been covered but I've only seen a couple posts on it but no real "detailed tutorial". ( just hate to ruin something through my stupidity).

Do a search.....I did to begin to prepare for it and do mine.Is simple but lots more to type (Again) for a guy that does one finger typing..Search is the best

its not that hard to do. you could use a vise and a file. you have to remove a very small amount off the bolt and a small amount off the firing pin. i used a bench grinder and just touched the bolt to the fine wheel. then used a finishing file to smooth it out. it worked really well.
