I have been looking at bipods and I've decided to get a Harris due to its reputation. But Im stuck on the length. Most of my shoooting is at the prone position and I occasionally take it to the range to shoot bench rest. Can anyone offer their advise on this, I would greatly appreciate it. 6" to 9" inches or 9" to 13" inches, which would work best for me?? Oh, i got a LR308 24" heavy stainless barrel.

my 24" dpms has a 6-9 swivel and lock. Good prone in the west desert, good at the range on the tables. Form the picture below there is still 1 more step left on the bipod adjustment.

6"-9" is the way to go or your back will be hurting after 30 mins shooting prone.

I'd go 6 to 9 notch leg with the tilt and then call mcmasters and "build your own" pod lock (thread can be found in the precision forum)
