Has anyone purchased one of the newer DPMS rifles like the 308L or the 338 federal.
I like the idea of the lighter rifles and wondering if anyone has shot one of them. If so, please elaborate on the experience. Thanks guys,

I would like to tell you but I can't even find a 308L in stock anywhere, I have heard ordering from the factory could be a long wait.
I prefer a 18" barrel in .308, and a rifle or mid length gas system over the carbine.

DPMS has 308L rifles & uppers in the catalog and online. they should be available. I ordered a barrel for one they said probably 6 months. doug

Yes, you can get one, if you don't mind the wait (I was told 4-5 months). I originally decided I wanted one... but the wait killed it for me. I found another .308 AR used for less, and went for the instant gratification.
