How would I setup a range card for my 6.8 and how do I use it?  I know this sounds dumb, but I never needed one until now.  I understand that the card shows bullet drop at given yardage or do people set them up on how much they need to adjust their scope for a certain yardage?

I have load data for the bullets I use

Go here:

http://www.hornady.com/ballistics/ballistics_calculator.php

Type in the data for your load, make sure if your using an AR that you
change the sight height to 2.6 inch or whatever your scope is above the bore.

The cool thing is when you print it out, it prints a small cheat sheet I take and
fold in half and it fits inside my scope cover, or you could laminate the full size
table. YMMV

Edit to add, the Hornady program shows both the inchs of drop and the come
ups in MOA for your scope.

Hard to beat this calculator...

Good library of data and you can define your hold over/come ups; Mil-dot, MOA, 1/4" clicks, etc.  Prints a pretty handy range card too.

...and here I thought a range card defined my limits of fire, range to registration points and just all around handy when doing a relief in place, especially at night.
