So I got my tax sale upper. Now what scope to put on it. From what I read so far, the big ARs like to eat most scopes. I am thinking Eotech, but will the Millett 1-4x24 DMS work also? The rifle is mainly going to be a hog gun. I just put a junk NcStar Mark III I had laying around, something tells me it may last one mag. So what are you putting on your rifles? |
Mine arrived today, I am going to try out either an IOR 1-4 or a Meopta K-Dot, I just cant decide yet. Overall, I liked a 3x9 on my 458 SOCOM however I found my shots were under 75 yards so I want to give a 1-4 vari optic a shot. |
Mine is actually the 1.5-5x20mm that was popular with 3-gunners for a long time. I got it on closeout at CDNN for $50 a couple years ago and it has seen a lot of use as a temp scope on lots of rifles including my FAL. |
Ill post a photo of my rig tomorrow, I painted it today. ammo should be here next week for a range report. You have the carbine model yes? I swapped out for the rifle length, Id like to see what kind of accuracy you get versus with rifle model. |
| I have the Millet DMS-1 on my beowulf and it has held up fine, it should do the trick on the 450 as well. One thing is that if you shoot NTCH you will most likely need the larue SPR-E mount to get the scope forward enough so you dont get 'kissed'. Or some kind scout rail to extend the reciever for you to use regular rings. |
