I have a S&W MP 15 and would like to know can a DPMS or other upper be put on the lower receiver? Would like to get a 24" upper for varmint hunting.

Yes, AR-15 style uppers are interchangable. A nearly infinite number of uppers will fit your S&W lower.

Thanks that means I have endless possibilities as long as the green stamps hold out.

Remember not to mix your bolts. Each bolt and carrier should stay with its upper.
