Anyone have experience with the American Spirit Arms AR10?  I know it's cheap but is it a good value or would it be wiser to just get an Armalite or DPMS?

ASA went out of business a few years ago, so you will have difficulty finding repair parts for anything that isn't common to AR-10 or LR308.

ASA is still in business with a new owner. The new ASA also reportedly bought out Ameetec Arms.

I'd avoid it based on limited numbers, limited track record, high suggested retail price, and as far as I am concerned for the money you are better served with DPMS or Armalite.   Especially if you want work done on the rifle at a later time from one of the custom builders or smiths.

Is ASA's 308 still an AR-10 clone with a side charging upper? I heard a rumor that it was originally discontinued because of a cease and desist letter from Armalite.
