| It's Christmas time, so I want to know if anybody has a DPMS .308 carry handle and if they like it and will a AR-10 carry handle fit my DPMS with no issues? Thanks! |

ahh christmas......i think everyone should get some cool new weapon stuff in their stockings. i have a dpms carry handle on my LR-308 TAC20. it's nice. be advised, there are 2 different uppers. mine is the one with the forward assist and dustcover. i'm not too sure how well the carry handle will work on the regular LR-308 upper. it sits up a little higher. |
| Aside from Vietnam and a few other places in the jungles when Ar's did not have sights for the most part does anyone anymore Actually use the carry handle to carry the thing..maybe hunting? carry it to the line at a match maybe. If that be the case what is the use outside of looks with it mounted on the rifle |

No idea wolfman223. I ditched mine so fast on my 50Beowulf once I got a different sight and then an Eotech. I wouldn't carry it with the handle hunting and haven't the past three years deer hunting with my 50Beo. Rifle is right at my side with either my hand in front of the mag well or stuck under my arm with the grip resting on my waist belt area. But hey, if he wants a damn handle, give him the answer to his frigging question!! Oh, I mounted the handle I had on a custom AR carry case made out of walnut and curly maple (on a rail) and sold it here on arfcom! |
| I guess you could renovate it into a custom ammo can handle or for a footlocker handle, has to be a Colt idea when made for the Amy a.ka. Gali with the little handle they put on their rifle.I got them off all mine except the A2 which come that way.I would think it is not a real handy way to pick up an AR ....too easy to swing it around or bang the shit out of it not having real good control of it.That is one place on the Ar that old original is not the best way any longer |
| Or a small deer one handed or larger one on a sled. One of the things that caused me to take the handles off some of my rifles is that when you case them to go to range or hunting especially with a scope mounted you need a real high case say 15" to 20" high to haul with.My Ar M4 is in one of those older Fieldlocker gun cases that is about a foot high and 38" long and fits it nicely for my trunk gun with the collapsible stock |
