Where would you guys recommend for the best price on a DPMS LR .308 lower? Looking to build a LR308. Any thing helps. |

Okay, So I am now looking at all the parts. Here is what I am thinking. DPMS lr-308 lower DPMS lr-308 A3 Upper LPK Magpul PRS gen II Magpul MIAD Noveske 21" (maybe longer if available) DD LITE DPMS rail forend BCG. The questions. What BCG is good and where to get? I have an email into JP to see if they sell just their BCG. I have and run a couple of theirs in standard AR-15's and they are extraordinary. Who makes the best BCG? Is there anything to worry about when looking for them? Will the AR-10 versions work with the LR-308 and vice versa? Also, what lower parts kit do you recommend and where to get it? Can I use AR-15 Parts? Any information helps. |

I have one Fulton (DPMS) running an Eagle moly T barrel and Armalite B/BC and another running an Armalite carbine barrel and DPMS B/BC. I like the Armalite B/BC better because it seems more refined with the firing pin spring. I can swap B/BCs between rifles and both pass GO and NO GO gage tests. I run a WOA tuned RRA 2 stage trigger with the upper tip of the hammer ground down for BC clearance in the DPMS. AR-15 LPK will fit the DPMS with the exception of the pivot pin and takedown pin, which are larger than the AR-15 versions, and a peculiar bolt catch screw instead of roll pin. |

I definately like you parts list. The MIAD grip require some epoxy to fill where a spring goes. On the DPMS the rear takedown pin detent spring goes down rather then backwards. The MIAD has an open slot thre. Someone said you can cut off an allen wrench (or something like that) to get a more reliable fill into that gap. There is a thread on the subject here somewhere. |
