Hey guys,

I just ordered some Sierra Game king 130's in order to duplicate Constructor's MPF load, but I also bought some Combined technologies 130grain Ballistic Silvertip bullets today, in the hopes of loading the following 6.8 SPC's:

SSA brass with small primer, using RE10X or 4198 to load to around 2450 in my 4 groove, 11 twist, 20 inch which is coming soon. Will the OAL be acceptable with this bullet?

Have any of you tried it?  It expands at lower velocities

PLease Help if you can.....

Although I have not tried this bullet in anything other than a factory load for my Remington .308; I sure do like this bullet. Let me know what you come up with and hopefully it will work just fine in my 18" ko-tonics. I'm using 110gr. Prohunters this deer season(just sighted it in with the first 20 rounds I put through it). I'm hoping to find some other deer loads for this caliber. I had several people asking about it at the range yesterday and although I didn't get a pic of my target - the 6.8 outshot most everybody's deer guns there!

High-Tech, I am pretty sure the CT Silvertips are the same bullets as the Nosler Silver tips so you can load them for the 6.8 SPC.  I am going to test out some 130 Gr. bullets tomorrow with my 20" Ko-Tonics using H322 so I will post the velocities.  H4198 is too fast and you will loose too much velocity with it.  Reloaders 10x, H322, and Benchmark should work great.

Thanks for the follow up guys.  I have always thought that the ballistic silver tip would be a great projectile;e for the 6.8 SPC in hunting applications.  I'll get some loaded up and post a report when I get time.
