In anticipation of the 458 upper that should come any year now, Let me list out what I have and please let me know what I should get to make the experience all it can be.

Have:
Eagle arms Lower
RRA lpk
2 stage NM trigger
A2 stock

Question?
Should I swap the stock for the arf-x and maybe the enidine pnuematic buffer?
Anything else I should consider?

Rhyno:

I have a POF lower with a RRA lpk mated to a Magpul PRS.  Just waiting on my RRA upper.  I need to look into the Enidine buffer.  Perhaps a really good recoil pad may be in order for us both.  Anyone have recommendations for a recoil pad for the PRS or A2 stock?

I think your all set personally. I use an A2 stock, stage trigger and have had no issues, let us know how she shoots !

Any accessories that can be used on a standard AR-15 can be used on the .458 SOCOM, with maybe the exception of certain telestocks (which may collapse under recoil.) I've got an MGI rate/recoil reducing buffer in my M16, but have never felt the need to try it in my .458 SOCOM. Mine doesn't seem to have much kick at all to begin with.

What grain do you go with?

300-grain. Right now, all I have for ammo is Wagner Accuswage, but have some Corbon on order.

Personally, I would recommend a Hogue or Ergo grip.  Both are rubber and provide a little extra cushion/slight flex/give to help with some of the felt recoil.  I would also keep the A2 stock, but invest in a pad for it.  One of the inexpensive rubber ones has worked well for me...it just gives a little materila collapse before the shoulder gets it all...again helping with the felt recoil a bit.  NEVER use one of the checkered metal buttplates...it really is a meat tenderizer.
