I pick up my rifle thursday. Going to add a 56 mm objective lens scope to it. My question is what height rings? I am going with Burris Extreme 30mm rings. Also...I know what some say, but what is the talk on Millett scopes? |

It depends on the type of handguard you have on your rifle. With a 56mm objective the 30mm ring needs to be 0.52 inches from the top of the mount to the bottom of the scope tube. The tallest 30mm ring on Burris website is only 0.455 inches in that dimension. This means your objective will strike the handguard if the handguard is the same height as the receiver rail. If your handguard is lower than the receiver rail, there will be no interference. Scroll to the bottom for ring heights |

Depending on how you run your stock (a1, m4 3 notches out ect.) eye relief may also be an issue with your scope. I recently purchased a burris 3-9x40 and I run my stock three notches out, I had to use a yankee hill rail extender to get the scope in the right place. Just something to consider. Polytech |
