I have started handloading for my DPMS .308 and have noticed that my third shot of 3 drops from the first 2 shots consistently. Has anyone else noticed this? My first two shots are usually close if not touching and the third shot will drop about a half an inch. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? My best load so far is a 165 grain Hornady SST, 44 grains Varget using ccI BR primers and new Winchester Brass. I would also love to hear of any other handload recipes that any of you use for the DPMS .308!

shoot at least five round groups.  trickling onto a scale helps a little.  hard to shoot under .75moa when the meplats get smashed on the feed ramps of an semiauto.  i shoot 180gr matchkings with varget, the 175gr were close behind.  rem brass has good life with a cws.  cheers.
