[ARCHIVED THREAD] - DPMS 308 Scope mount?

I'll try this again. I'm looking for a solid scope mounting solution. Probably some removal and putting the setup back on. What are you using and why?

Warne QD rings on the flat top worked for me.

LaRue offers an excellent one piece quick detach mount. I know that everyone uses their products swear by them. Check out their site.

if you have the elevated upper, a one piece mount may be too high. like said above, larue or warne rings. i like the warne rings with the yhm rail extension for ntch.

+1 on LaRue. Holds zero after each detach/attach, and gives ample room for most BUIS.

I vote LaRue. I went with the lower one, LT-158 I think. I did not want height for BUIS.

Look at the front part, its flush with the upper. There are lots of choices :-)

Now that's good input and thanks for the pics. Now the only prices I've seen are Retail for the LaRue mounts. Are there any vendors that are cheaper than that.

I used the Burris tactical high rings for my super sniper scope. They are not the greatest solution. While they look plenty tough, they come loose if torqued to spec. The bolts give if overtorqued.

About the only good thing I can say is that they stay accurate when removed and installed.
