Has anyone had experience with getting the JP performance package done on their DPMS 308?
Reviews?
Thoughts?
Thanks so much for this great forum.

I did.  I had a DPMS AP4 .308 that I send in (although I kept the upper and sent a new DPMS .308 upper in with the lower - so now I have a 16" and 20" upper.)

I couldn't be happier with it.  Used it iron sights at the Ironman and came in 4th in Heavy Metal class.  The gun has low recoil, its reliable, and the JP offset 2" handguard is the only way to go with a .308 AR.  Unfortunately I have not done any serious accuracy testing with it - it seems to me that it is grouping around 1.25 MOA right now but that is with iron sights.  I think the scoped accuracy would be better than that.

The low recoil is really impressive.  It recoils like a (non-JP) .223.

I remember the turnaround being reasonable but not lightning-quick.  I did go ahead and get a new JP barrel at the time.

I am seriously considering getting another upper to go with it in .260 Remington.
