It isn't necessary, it's a luxury. It makes it easier to be more accurate. A good trigger is lighter and crisper. I have an AP4 myself, and for what I do with it, 3 gun, I haven't found it necessary yet. However, it sure would make those 100+ yard shots for time easier. In contrast, my Rock River A4 has a 2 stage national match trigger that is awesome. It just takes all the magic out of shooting, kinda like the eotech/aimpoints. You simply put the dot on the target and repeat as necessary. The "game" becomes how fast you can run, reload, and steady the rifle. Shoot someone else's rifle with a nice trigger, and you'll "get it". It's not necessary, just a luxury that makes target work a million times easier. |
