| Hi. Im looking into getting a 308. I've seen all the DPMS and Armalites, but they don't really have what i'm looking for. Can you guys name some reputable people who can build me a 308 AR. I kinda like the JP stuff. I also like the POF lowers, but I don't like the upper configurations they have. Do they sell just the lowers? |

What are you looking for? Right now, the Armalite and DPMS are the only game in town. You, of course can have someone else hod-rod either for you. JP and GAP come to mind. JP has a whole host of options on its website, and GAP will custom build you what you want. There are other builders out there, but you need to know what you want. Fulton Armory also takes a DPMS upper/lower and does some fun stuff with it. |

Well, I see that Armalite does sell lowers, under the Eagle Arms name. I guess I could get one of those and build it to my liking. To be specific, I'd like the following parts. Magpul PRS stock, target grip, flat top, 20" stainless bull barrel with some sort of free float fore end, JP Vtac, PRI, etc, oh and a good 2 stage trigger. So, I guess the lower isn't the hard part, it's who could build me an upper. I'm not too familiar with GAP. Do they have a website? Thanks! |

http://www.gaprecision.net/ I am having GAP build almost the exact rifle you just described (they dont do JP triggers) (I am having the Daniel Defense 4 rail handgaurd, PSG-1 grip, Magpul PRS stock, etc etc). It should be done soon, when it is, I will be posting pics of it on pretty much every website on the planet. |
