| I just purchased a Chip McCormick match trigger for my bushmaster. Of course it is supposed to be just a "drop in" - but I always seem to find things a little more complicated than they should be. Anyway - I have removed the old trigger group and am now trying to "drop in" the Chip McCormick trigger. It appears that I need to remove the Safety Selector Lever so that the new trigger group will fit under it. Unfortunately - I can't figure out how to remove the Safty Selector Lever - I have turned it to every position I can think of - I have pushed and pressed it everyway I can think of and am just not having any luck. I would certainly appreciate any help and/or guidance from one or more of you that is futher along with your experience. Thanks in advance for the assistance. |

there is a detent that holds the selector in place. You have to loosen the pistol grip to remove the spring tension. Place the rifle on its side ejection port facing up. The pistol grip is held on by a single screw up inside the grip once the screw is loose pull the grip away from the lower and you will see were the spring goes into the receiver. the selector should come out with very little force.
