DPMS's new 20" .308 really got my attention, it looks to be the same deal as the 16" AP4 but with longer barrel (which is perfect for my taste), but WHY AREN'T THERE ANY OPTIONS FOR IT ON THE DPMS WEBSITE? Is it just because it's really new?

Grrrrr, why not an 18" SPR profile with dust cover, forward assist? I'm having to go so far as getting a custom build (although with a supermatch barrel

)

with the a3 receiver and a 24" bull, you can do anything you want. the new fulton armory is a 18.5" with a krieger, doestnt look like a bull profile but is slickside i think.

Has anyone seen the steel upper receiver option on the TAC20?

The DPMS tech guy I talked to today says it is stainless with a greeish tint.

So- can DPMS build us a custom one of these if we want- with a different handgaurd and gas block mayber- or different stock?

Does this have the rifle or the carbine gas system?

Which is better- should someone get this or the 18 incg barrel?

The rifle uses the standard 20" gas system and we can build the rifle to order.

Jason,

I have been interested in the 18" barrel but wait times are pretty long. Anything changed on this? I am also looking into RRA but with the law suite they will probably not be around for some time. I was given the impression that the 16" ships very quickly, however I am somewhat concerned with the gas system on the 16". Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the DPMS LRT-SASS 308. This gun is a thing of beauty. 18" heavy barrel 1-10 twist mid-length gas system fluted barrel under rail. Can't wait to scope her out and get to the range.
