I just picked up my DPMS 18" bull tonight and I'm wondering what kind of options I have to replace the free float tube. I really would like to put a carbon fiber rifle length on it, but the carbine gas system looks like it would cause some problems. Has anyone ever seen a 2 piece cabon fiber ff tube? |
| i run a yhm customizable tube over a normal rounded dpms gas block on a bull barrelled .223. it would probably work on a .308. the carbon fiber ones on their website are same dia as the supplied tubes, but dont know if they are thicker. you could always thin the gas block a little if you had to. you could call dpms and ask them if it will fit. you dont need a two piece, those are most useful for permanent muzzle devices or not removing pinned fsb. |
