I installed a JP FC-1, which is spec'd for the .223 in my DPMS .308.
Wondered about this till I got it, and lo, and behold, right in the instructions was the install for the .308.
KEEP THE ORIGINAL SPRINGS!!!
The springs for the .223 may not have enough mass to fire the primer on the .308.
Also, don't set the trigger too light, or you will go thru an awful lot of ammo accidentally before it shuts off. Mine is at 2.5 lbs., and works beautifully.

I asked the same question before, the response I got was Geissele.  I would recommend that now to you.

You might get a better response if you post your question in the AR-10 forum.

My understanding is that the AR-10 uses a proprietary trigger configuration (same overall style as an AR-15, but different geometry), whereas the DPMS LR308 uses the standard AR-15 configuration and geometry.  Jewell's instructions state that their AR trigger will not fit an AR-10, but don't explain why.

I have contact with Jewell, and jewell make also a trigger for the AR-10,but you must take the trigger with the small pin.
Now a doubt between the Jewell and the  Geissele Trigger.

Where can a find the AR-10 forum.
thanks
