I started down the road of a SASS build and ended here:
Attached File Started with a Bushmaster ORC-308. Had custom rail sections machined and anodized for the MI SS handguard. Armalite railed gas block sent for meloniting. GA Precision cerakote job on a Kreiger 1:11 M110 barrel. Leupold 3.5-10 x 40 with M118 knobs in a geissele M110 mount. LaRue MBT trigger. Still need to take it out to see how she shoots. She shoots: Attached File Attached File |

My contribution. A DPMS LR-308 I got Black Friday 2017. I’m not one who breaks a gun apart just to build it back up but I’ve added some parts to make it more in line with my AR-15’s, I want them to feel the same when I use them.

Not a DPMS brand, but a DPMS platform (G1) pictured next to my abomination of an SPR (stripped BCA side charging upper on a KP15 lower. Criterion barrel/bolt, Armaspec SRS H2 buffer, old-school tunable gas block)
The 308 runs a US Optics 5-25x with a SeeAll night sight over it. Rifle length buffer, Superlative adjustable bleed off block. Trigger is a LaRue (pull is at roughly 2.5 lbs) the SeeAll is almost entirely to speed up target acquisition, but it does work well out to about 100 yds. 18" rifle length HBAR, 1-10 twist. Loves 155 gr Scenars, long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain. https://i.ibb.co/W62yxbf/20231116-171003.jpg |
