I removed my A2 sight gas block and also upper and replaced with flat top upper and a Odin gas block. The  gas tube sticks into the upper approximately an inch with the gas block back against the shoulder. This is a rifle length set-up. Do I need a different gas tube or cut the one I have.

You can't cut it, it is flared. You need the proper length tube. I just put a Odin works adjustable gas block on my new build, with the same barrel I used the same gas tube.

Unless you changed the barrel/gas length your old tube should be fine.

It's supposed to stick into the upper about an inch. It goes into the gas key on top of the BCG.

It's highly likely that a gas block should not be seated against the handguard retaining ring on the barrel. If you remove the gas tube from the gas block, then put the gas block on the barrel upside down you can see the gas port through the hole in the bottom of the block. Center the gas port in the hole, and note if and how far off the ring the gas block should be.

If you didn't change the barrel, your gas system length is the same.

You're swapping out parts without knowing how the gun functions?

For real, I keep reading some of these posts and shake my head.
