Just to make sure, does the preban Colt AR-15 made in the early 1990s with the sear block and large diameter trigger and hammer pins use standard trigger and hammer springs?

Yes the springs are about all that are standard.

Geiselle makes large pin triggers for these Colt. You will have to mill the sear block for them to work. if you have a mill it is easy. If not there are plenty of places that can do it for you.

M60Joe can "fix" your lower to take a standard size upper without the goofy adapter, bush the trigger pin holes to standard mil-spec and neutralize the sear block.

As far as pre-ban lowers go the Colt stuff is the worst because of all the non-standard stuff they did. Sear block, large front hole and large trigger pin holes are the issue and you can have any combination of the three.

You do not have to mill anything for Geissele large pin triggers to work  just order large pin triggers and its easy no-mill installation

If there is a sear block you will need to mill that to own the FCG pocket back to normal.

I remedied this with a large pin SSA-E in my 6721...the small pin SSA-E triggers I have in my other Colts were $40 cheaper than its larger brethren.

As mentioned, not all Pre-Ban Colts have the non-standard trigger pin holes/Large front Pivot hole.
