I just bought an aero precision upper and it says it uses the "BAR" system for handrails. Is there any way to just attach a regular handrail? I would like to put this handrail on my upper.

Thanks

Did you buy a standard Aero mil-spec upper receiver, or the Aero M4E1 enhanced upper? If you have a standard upper you are good to go with any handguard you want to use.

If you have the M4E1 Enhanced upper (which it sounds like you do), you will have to use Aero BAR handguards or other BAR style handguards since the handguard mount is machined right into the upper. Because the attachment point is machined as part of the receiver you will not be able to use most AR handguards. Only ones that are "BAR" style and attach with 8 screws.

No problem. Aero's BAR handguards are quite nice and very light, but are not very slim if that is what you are after. If you decide to keep the M4E1, take the screw out that holds the forward assist assembly in the upper and put a dab of Loctite on it (blue will work), then screw it back in. That will prevent an issue once you start shooting it.

Agreed, I didn't like the OD on mine and ended up selling it to a friend who really likes it. The Seekins I replaced it with is much slimmer.
