| What does the "White Dot" of paint on the bottom of a new Colt bolt signify? I recently bought a new 6920 that is missing this mark on the bottom of the bolt. I have never seen a new Colt bolt without it. All other markings are as they should be on the BCG. Anything to be concerned about? |

Just pulled out the BCG in my new OEM1 that I picked up in October. It doesn't have any white dot paint anywhere. Never heard of that. Carrier is marked "C" and the bolt "MPC". No one played a switcharoo on me is all that matters. That's what I wanted to find out. Hearing from someone else with the same rifle from the same time period. Mine has a barrel date of 8/16. Thanks for the responses. I won't worry about not having the white dot on the bolt any more. It must be a step that is now skipped. |
