I'm looking for a Muzzle device that does two things like FH/Break or FH/Comp. I'm almost done with my first build, not sure if there are any devices out there to choose from. If it is not, I would like opinions on muzzle device based on experiences. Also, a site that has good deals.

If on a budget the YHM 5C2 at $25-$30 is always in the top tier group in the various comparison studies.  It is a flash hider, not a comp or brake.  It does have a solid bottom, though, which does give it some modest muzzle rise mitigation and helps quite a bit when shooting prone.  It's no fun to have a device that is open on the bottom when shooting prone, unless you like your rifle to throw up dirt, grass and leaves from the muzzle blast with every shot.  Brakes are obnoxiously loud.  Some don't mind, but others, especially fellow shooters close by can really get upset with you.

The Precision Armament AFAB is the best device for blast, flash, and recoil mitigation out there

Are you going to be shooting with folks? I like brakes but man the concussion is punishing to people standing beside you. I just ordered 3 KAW Valley linear comps, installed them on a 6.8, 300BO and my wifes AR. I haven't tested them yet but from all the reviews they look legit!

This. I've owned/tried many different muzzle devices and IMHO the AFAB is the best hybrid currently available. All my AR's now have them and everyone who's tried one of mine has liked it.

^My ARs have an AFAB (rifle) and EFAB (pistol) and they work so well for a combo device that I'm going to get one for my SCAR when I eventually cut it down to 14.5" for a pin&weld job.

I've been waiting for months for the PA AFAB to go on sale, or at least get under a hundred. But brother, that just don't seem to ever happen. Not even BF or CM seems to wedge that off its seat. Gonna give it to Christmas/New Years sales to come and go before I just have to bite the bullet and pay the asking price. The AFAB seems to be a helluva effective combination and doesn't look like ass  as well.

I bought both of mine here on the EE after months of watching...if I had to do it over again, I would have no problem buying new from PA if I needed it for a build.

And this coming from an owner of the KAC MAMS and Griffin Flash Comp.

The MAMS is a little blasty but better for recoil than the Flash Comp.  Flash is about equal

Might check out the BCM Gunfighter comp. I have the Mod1 on a 300blk upper, I love it. Only thing I'd love to change about it is the ability to attach a SF suppressor.

I am assuming your build is in 223/5.56 that being said

What it wrong with the standard A2?

They are cheap, can be had for under $10 that is with a crush washer. The A2 is also a top tier flash hider

As for the comp side its 223 do you really need a comp?

If all you want is a FH then the A2 is great.
However, if you want minimal muzzle rise for faster followup shots then some sort of comp/brake can be very helpful despite the .223's light recoil. The AFAB does that while still being an excellent FH.

Precision Armament AFAB is what you are looking for. Kinda pricy at $104, but it's the one.
